The change you wish to see in your students
begins in yourself

Alan Bowers: Alexander Technique Training NYC

Hello, I am Alan Bowers.

When I think about the Alexander Technique and the students I’ve trained in this discipline, it’s hard not to be passionate about this work.

I’ve watched in wonder as students reinvented themselves, their walk, their talk, their work, and wellbeing.

The Alexander Technique accepts us where we are and moves us forward and up toward the next best version of ourselves. For me, that next best version always involves the work of my hands, in the fields of our earth, or in those of human potential and invention. I love the Alexander Technique.

"Beating the drum, rolling the ball, rising from the chair,
union with the thing being done, are the gifts of both Zen
and Alexander Technique."

Mindfulness for teachers

The Alexander Technique is calming and grounding, not unlike meditation.

In these Alexander Technique-inspired classes, you‘ll nurture the resources of mindfulness, improved breath, and facile movement, for your students and you, your good self, the music teacher.
